What is International Dot Day?
Dot Day is a holiday created by a teacher named Terry Shay, in 2009. Dot Day is celebrated internationally in schools every year on September 15th. Dot day was created to celebrate creativity, courage, and collaboration, it is celebrated by children and adults!
The book that inspired Dot Day is The Dot written by Peter H. Reynolds, the book shares the story of a girl who begins a journey of self-discovery after a caring teacher challenges her to “make her mark.”
